/ Tonia Arey's Public Health Action Plan for Los Angeles County
Los Angeles County’s 10 million residents face urgent health challenges, from food insecurity and chronic disease to mental health crises and environmental risks, that demand bold, community-driven solutions. Tonia Arey’s Public Health Action Plan builds on the LACDPH Strategic Plan 2025–2030 with a Supervisor’s mandate: expand access to care, triage services to those most in need. By investing in mobile clinics, tele-health, and culturally competent care, Tonia will close gaps that too often leave vulnerable residents behind.
My plan also tackles the root causes of poor health with prevention and resilience. That means strengthening addiction and mental health treatment, expanding food equity programs, reducing chronic disease, and integrating climate justice into public health policy. Guided by data, transparency, and community engagement, Tonia will fund programs that work and deliver results that protect the health and future of Los Angeles County families.
